HVAC System Design and Drafting Projects

We had to design a chiller based HVAC system for a 5 storey commercial building. The building was located in USA and was spread over an area of 10,0000 sq ft.

The office space at the Ground floor covered an area of 20000 sq ft. The second floor had a Lobby auditorium for 100 people and, a diagnostic center with CT scan and other testing equipment. The third floor had office spaces for acupuncture, chiropractor, meditation etc. The fourth floor had a bid 50’ swimming pool, sauna spas, snow chamber and others.

The system was designed according to the usage on each floor. The AC system in the Out patient area, plastic surgery center, dental center and eye surgery center had additional filters.

Electrical Drawings Project

We had to do electrical drafting of a six storey commercial Building in USA. It was a multipurpose building with Outpatient, Hospitals and Offices.

We had to prepare Lighting cad drawings, Power Drawings, Power Distribution Drawings and Technology Drawings. The output was to be sent in AutoCAD 2004 to AutoCAD 2007 version. There was no library sent by the client. We prepared our own library as per the client requirements. There were around 200 electrical drawings to be completed in a fortnight. The Tiff files sent by the clients were messy which increased the time spent on each drawing. So, to finish the project on time without compromising on quality was one of the challenges faced by our team.

Commercial Plumbing Projects-Kitchen Equipments

We had done a project of preparing the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing layout for Food Service Equipments or Kitchen Equipments. The project catered to the food service equipments of big libraries, Pavilions, Theatres and University Canteen.

We were provided the library of the Kitchen equipments and their specifications. The position of the Kitchen equipments was provided to us in the architecture plan. After studying the Kitchen equipments, we had to decide the placement of mechanical points like exhaust, electrical points like switches and plumbing points like drainage for them.
